Laminated bumpers are a durable method for protecting docks in low to medium traffic applications. They are made from reclaimed bias-ply truck tires secured with 3/4″ thick steel rods, and outlast ordinary bumpers made from utilized conveyor belting. They are manufactured under pressure exceeding 1,500lb to absorb over 80% of the impact. Covered by a two year replacement warranty, they come in vertical, horizontal, extra-wide and L-shaped designs. They can be anchored using 5/8″ anchor bolts through pre-drilled holes in the 3/8″ thick steel side angles on both sides, one side, or using flat plates for welding. Anchor leg of angle extends a minimum of 3″ beyond the rubber surface at either end and contains 2 or 3 3/4″ anchor bolt holes as required. Larger projections are possible by adding steel extension brackets and customized sizing and bracketing are also available.
